Scooter were always in boom whether they are petrol or electric. These are some of the game changers that will change the electric industry.
1. TVS Creon
TVS has been developed in partnership with Intel. It comes with connectivity options like GPS, park assist, cloud connectivity, geofencing, anti-theft and more. Just like the PCX, the Creon will also come with a full-digital instrument console, LED lighting at both the ends. It will also feature disk brakes at both ends and a perimeter frame that houses the Li-ion batteries. The batteries deliver 16PS of power and a claimed range of 80 kms, along with a 0-60 kmph speed in 5.1 seconds.
The Creon is also expected to make its appearance in the Indian market by the latter half of the year close to a price of Rs 1 lakh.
2. Honda PCX
Showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, the Honda PCX comes with the design language of its petrol counterpart. Minor updates include an LED lighting at the front as well as the rear and a full-digital instrument console.
The scooter will feature Honda’s own electric motor with two detachable battery packs termed ‘Honda Mobile Power Pack’ under the seat for an enhanced range. The detachable batteries will provide both the options to the user, that of swapping the batteries or charging them at a desktop station.
3.Hero Duet Electric
Hero has gone for the design and a few components of its standard Duet for its all-new electric version. The battery, that makes the difference, delivers a 6.7PS of power and 14Nm of torque, making it capable to dash 0-60kmph in just 6.5 seconds and traverse over 65 kms in a single charge.
