#Electric industry India aims to meet 30 percent of its transportation needs with electric vehicles by 2030. The goal is attracting a lot of effort from the government and the EV industry alike. As the country is moving from conventional fossil fuel vehicles to greener ones, another positive has come into focus.The associated jobs with the growth of a new industry.
India has created a blueprint for a specialised workforce which will be needed once India sees an increased adoption of electric vehicles. The expected number has been tallied to around 10 million new jobs
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will oversee its creation in a “targeted and time-bound manner”. Essentially, the plan is to create a workforce specialising in various areas of EV manufacturing, including design and testing, battery manufacturing and management, sales, services and infrastructure.
